CHEESECUIT
(Viral Indonesian No-Bake Dessert)
Cheesecuit is one of the viral desserts trending in Indonesia recently. It’s a simple no-bake dessert made with layers of milk-soaked biscuits and a creamy cheese mixture. Typically, it uses cheddar or cream cheese along with milk, condensed milk, and whipped cream. Most people use cream cheese, but I saw a few you tubers using grated cheddar.. And cheese is one thing that most people will have in Thier ladder. Hence this recipe.
Once assembled, it’s chilled for a few hours or overnight, allowing the biscuits to soften into a cake-like texture. The result is a light, creamy dessert with a lovely sweet-salty cheese flavour. Easy to make and very comforting, cheesecuit has quickly become a favourite among home bakers and dessert lovers.
In this version, I’ve used powdered whipped cream mix—very handy to keep at home and popular among local home bakers. It’s easily available in India and most places; otherwise, you can use regular whipped cream.
Ingredients
180 g grated cheddar cheese
150 ml fresh milk
100 gms condensed milk
150 g powdered whipped cream + 300 ml ice-cold water…
Or pls use 200ml liquid cream and whip until double volume.
1 tsp vanilla essence
75 g hung curd
Cream cracker biscuits (I used Malkist, about 16 to 22 biscuits)
Milk for soaking
Cocoa powder for dusting
Method
In a blender jar,
Blend the grated cheese and condensed milk.
Slowly add the 150 ml milk in batches and blend until smooth. Set aside.
In another bowl, whip the powdered cream with ice-cold water until fluffy (this takes just a few minutes).
Add vanilla essence and the cheese mixture, plus the hung curd.
Mix on low speed until well combined.
In a glass dish, spread a layer of the cream mixture.
Dip the biscuits in cold milk and arrange over the cream.
Repeat the layers until everything is used.
Finish with crushed biscuits and a dusting of cocoa powder., and if you like, some grated cheese.
Chill for a few hours or overnight before serving.
Note
Use plain or mildly salted biscuits for best results.
I used cream crackers
Serve chilled for the perfect texture and flavour.
